Christmas 2011!

 There is so much going on our house, well not really but with a newborn it seems like I'm always doing something! Here's some of the things we did this month. We sent letters to Santa at the Macy's mailbox. The kids asked for "big screens" a toy they saw while we were at walmart earlier that day. (me already knowing they were going to get it) Its practically an iPad for kids!

 

They were so excited to draw pictures and help me write their letters. I wish I would have taken a picture of both the letters they were very cute! 

We of course had to visit the big man himself! This was at Grandma Fowks' living center. He was a very friendly Santa! 

 On Christmas Eve the kids opened 2 presents. One from Grandpa Jakeman, a recordable book and him reading The Night Before Christmas. It was a very sweet and thoughtful gift. Thanks Dad! And the second gift: New Jammies. Zipper Jammies as Sarah likes to call them! I'm excited to have 2 girls now to dress them exactly the same, I can't resist!

 The kids made out like bandits again this year, This is only half of what they received. Thanks to Aunt Sharon the kids should not have a hard time finding something to do all year long. I think I'm going to put some of the toys away and pull them out through out the year. ( I say that now, we'll see if I actually do it!)

Little Emma is 1 whole month old now. Seriously Time has flown by and I am busy busy busy. I debated writing this blog post vs. going to bed. I want to use this blog to document our lives and keep some kind of Journal so the blog won tonight.

This is the day after Christmas, you couldn't pull Dallin away from his  "big screen" I finally told him we needed to play with some of his other toys and he finally agreed. Once school starts back up and life gets back to normal then I'll start limiting electronic toy time! As you can see I have no pictures of Sarah from Christmas day, thats how busy my life gets. Chirstmas morning she was so cute, she woke up before everyone else so I went and sat with her in the living room and we admired the tree all lit up and all of the presents underneath. She was so excited to know that someone had gotten her presents because she had gotten one for them too. After everyone was up and moving and present unwrapping began she didn't hesitate to rip them open. When she opened the gift from Dallin she ran to him and gave him the biggest hug and said "oh THANK YOU Dallin!" it was a very sweet moment. Dallin on the other hand didn't want to open his presents, he was content to put them in a pile and admire the pile of presents he had. He was careful to choose which one to open and once it was open place it into another pile of presents already opened. He was more willing to share his unopened gifts with mommy and daddy so we could open some too. Emma slept through most of the days events, which for her I'm sure was just as great as getting any presents! 

We all headed off to Grandmas house and met with all my family there. Ate some breakfast and shared gifts and good company. Then we all headed off to church together, it was really nice to have us all go together especially on Christmas. Sacrament meeting was a great program filled with music. Dallin did an especially great job singing as loud as he could. Even though he didn't know the words he was loud and it's so cute; its funny we couldn't help but laugh!

We rounded off the evening with a trip to Sharon's house where all the big toys were brought out! We had a great dinner of Turkey and all the fixings! Sharon makes the best turkey!

changes

There has been a lot of changes around the Johnson house. And they are not done coming! We moved to our new house about 3 weeks ago. FINALLY! after putting an offer in June we got word in the middle of October then we cleaned, painted and have been working really hard to get things ready for Baby #3 to get here! She will make her debut on the 26th of November! thats like 9 days people so ready or not here she comes! During all the chaos Halloween happened. And we love halloween around our house its just too bad it got a little over shadowed by moving so we weren't able to do as much as we would have otherwise. We did however dress up and have a good time at the ward trunk or treat. Visit Grandma Fowks and get enough candy from there to hold us over until christmas! I took the kids to Wheeler Farm where they had a hay ride, a hay maze and pumpkin patch. The kids had a great time and deserved to go because I've been so occupied with cleaning and what not.

I have no pictures of our new house, however I make up for that fact with cute pictures of my kids! 

Getting geared up for Thanksgiving hopefully we can do something fun! I'm going to look up some kind of turkey craft and make something with them. I really haven't been mother of the year lately because I've been so busy painting our new house with my mom. Speaking of my mom she's been an awesome help to me and I'm so thankful for her.

that is a bunch of my random thoughts for now. I don't know if I'll get a ton of blogging done in the next few weeks or months. I'll be sure to update about baby for sure!

And Mother of the Year goes to........

Drum Roll Please. HEATHER JOHNSON! and the crowd breaths loudly through their mouth.... ahhhhhhhhhh! Why you ask am I winning mother of the year?! Because of how awesome I am and all the cool things we've done this summer. It hasn't been a lot but my kids think I'm cool so thats what counts! I know before I said all I've been doing is sleeping on the couch, while that is true we have also done some fun things. I tried to make a cool collage of pictures of the things we've done but I couldn't figure it out. So you get them one by one.... the things that make me awesome! (In completely random order)

We went to the Gateway mall to play in the fountain, even though Sarah didn't like it!

We got ice cream from the ice cream truck!

We went to the "bouncy place" Kangaroo zoo with friends!

Got our faces painted!

We saw a couple of movies at the park outside, very fun!

We played angry birds with water balloons and chalk!

Played out new favorite outside game, hopscotch!

What summer would be complete without a box of fireworks bigger than you are!

Rode on a pony! (ok Dave gets credit for this one!)

Swam in the pool, a lot!

Sarah is a proud new "mommy" as well!

And to top it all off, what summer would be complete without a good wack to to the head and 3 staples in the back of your head! Poor Sarah fell backwards onto the fireplace mantel at my grandparents out. There was A LOT of blood so I freaked out for a minute then realized we needed a trip to urgent care! (thankfully my family was around and helped me stay calm)

That was our summer in a nutshell! Now that Dallin is starting school on Wednesday we might slow down a little we'll probably go see some movies at the dollar theatre because there's some good ones. And with a new little one on the way we better squeeze in as much as we can before I have more children than hands!

Under a rock

Blogging has not been the first thing on my mind lately most because I've been taking all my free time to spend SLEEPING mostly on the couch and my kids watching TV. I know I'm going to win mother of the year for how our summer has been going! Here is the reason.... and you probably already know unless you've been living under a rock for the past 4 months!

And what do these two things have in common? That is the size of my baby this week! Crazy right! A 2 pound egg plant is what I have growing inside of me apparently! I am 25 weeks pregnant! Slap a bow on this eggplant and what you have is Baby Johnson #3 is a girl! We are super excited and a little nervous. If she has the same high spirit like Sarah we are in for our money!

I had planned to "announce" my pregnancy on april fools day and just let it be a fun april fools joke. Turns out the joke was on me this year because I took a pregnancy test to see If I could be honest during my april fools joke. And this is what I saw!

A positive test. Now I had two choices, tell everyone on april fools day that I was pregnant and see who would really believe me or not tell anyone until later. I told a few people on april fools day and it was fun but really just funny all around! Its been a very different pregnancy this time around, I was more sick that I was with the first two. Because of that fact Dave knew right away that it was a girl, how he knew I'm not sure! I've been really tired, and I mean REALLY tired. I fall asleep on the couch every opportunity I get. My poor children must think I am the worst mother in the world. Dallin is much better at letting me sleep than Sarah is. Being Pregnant is hard because of how it affect your body and your mental state but really I love being pregnant, having the feeling of life inside of you is like no other. (ok sometimes it feels like gas) I am so grateful Heavenly Father trusts me enough to send another one of his sweet spirits to be in my care on earth. I just hope I can continue to do a good job and teach my children well.

Disneyland!

To prove we went to Disneyland I'm actually going to blog about it! HA! I'm only 3 months late!

To sum it up we had the best time ever! To this day Dallin and Sarah still talk about the haunted mansion or Pirates! We stayed for 4 days and that was a perfect amount of time for the kid in me to have so much fun. Dave had never been and it's been years and years since I had been so it was a new experience for us all. Our first day it rained so I felt like we got cheated a little bit but again that was the excited kid in me being upset! We enjoyed our trip with Dave's parents, his sister Jenny and his aunt Sharon. It was hard at first to have so many people to keep track of but we soon figured it all out. Here are some highlights in photo form!

Funny thing was Sarah was asleep when we saw mickey and Dallin was asleep when we saw minnie! It all worked out!

Sarah and her Diva sunglasses that she picked out all by herself! And as a side note she did not want to keep her shoes on while we were there!

On one of the nights we went to dinner at Goofy's Kitchen. Where you get to meet with characters while you eat. This was one of the most fun nights we all had together and may be tradition to go back there when we go to Disneyland again. Donald met his biggest fan in the world and I don't know who enjoyed it more Donald or Jenny!

(Day 4)

The smile on their faces were the same on day one and they were on day 4! It brought me to tears at one point to see my kids having so much fun. Especially when we were watching the world of color and Sarah was lighting up like the 4th of July every time she saw something she recognized! And when Dallin went on Soarin' over California the excitement on Dallin's face the feeling of flying! We are already thinking about when we want to go back! Just ask either one of my kids about Disneyland and you'll get an ear full!

Family Fun!

A few saturdays ago we went to a place called Hollywood connection. We really went because they had an indoor mini golf course and it was rainy and cold. It turns out they have so much more there to enjoy, some kiddie rides including a roller coaster and roller skating! Dave and I were way more excited about the roller skating that the kids were. They put the skates on and held on to our hands for dear life! Dave was having a really good time skating around the rink. We might go back there for a date night, who knows!

The other favorite was the roller coaster and the carousel. There was an arcade upstairs but it was a little much to take in, and we didn't want to spend quarters on it! Overall the price was a little high and I don't know how often we will go there but for a rainy/snowy afternoon it worked out great for us. We also ate some dinner there and it started out promising when we ordered wings and they were delicious but dinner was a let down. I guess you can't win them all! It was a great afternoon of fun with the family!

Dallin is 4!!!

One Day I went to the Hospital and had a baby boy. His name is Dallin. He was a cute little bug wrapped up in a neat little package.

Then I blinked and this is what I had, a 1 year old.

Then I blinked again and he was 2.

I tried to stop but I blinked again and he was 3.

After having tried to stop blinking and I could no longer do it and BAM he turned 4! He's not so little any more!

Sunday we had a family party and My awesome sister Laura mad this awesome cake! It's a rainbow inside. Click HERE for an inside look at this cake. (she'll post pics sometime)

Then there's my awesome culinary skills!

One of the kids at the party today said, "these are the best cupcakes! Can I have another one?!" LOL and yes there was 6 little boys at my house today, and I survived!

Dallin wanted Chinese chicken for Lunch so thats where we went! Dave wouldn't smile for the camera so I left his pictures out!
