Easter has come and gone but these pictures are too cute not to share them. I think its fun to dress the girls all matching. I'm sure they'll hate me for it when they are older but for now I'll take it while I can get away with it!
In April Dallin lost his first tooth, and his second tooth! Way to go buddy!
It freaked me out at first because at 4 years old I thought he was way too young to be losing teeth. So I called the dentist in a panic and I'm sure they thought I was an idiot. They told me it was perfectly normal. I have since found out that the earlier teeth come in the earlier they are lost. Good theory!
Soon after that Emma got her first tooth! At 6 months old.
I love this one tooth grin. I never want to forget it.

Then in June Emma got some more teeth!
Dallin Lost some more teeth in July!
(2 to be exact)
And Emma became a vampire with two more teeth that same month.

Now she has a grand total of 7 teeth at 8 months old! Phew what a trip!
There have been a lot of changes at our house over the past 6 months especially. We had a ton of bushes pulled out of our yard for starters! That made a huge difference. and our neighbors put in a new fence also known as the great wall of china!

The next project was the basement bathroom. I wish I would have gotten a picture of what the previous owners thought was a good idea for a bathroom but thats ok. Here it is in progress, after we had to bust up some concrete floor to move the pipes for the toilet. (see previous post)
Here is the final product! Grandpa (aka our general contractor) Lead by George: The foreman. He did and amazing job! and we are so close the end I can taste it. It might be drywall dust I'm actually tasting but who knows. Check it out!

All the lighting is done in the basement and all the electrical has been updated! It's getting exciting. I can't wait until it's all done!
This just in: I'm a busy mom of 3 and I have a lot of stuff going on. I want to journal/blog and I have every excuse in the book. Now that I have my priorities set you may or may not see more of me here! YES more!
Between nursing a baby, taming my wild 3 year old and trying to keep a 5 year old interested in something other than electronics I'm preparing to teach Relief Society this sunday (my new calling) Trying to teach myself what things are important and what things are no so important. Summer has brought on a lot of fun together time and I want to keep track of it! So Stay tuned! Let's go do hard things. Ready set go!
I was reminded by myself lately that it is a new year and while I didn't make any formal resolutions the ones that I did make I haven't worked toward any of them during the month of January. I am so consumed with things that are going on I haven't taken the time to do the simplest of things. Probably no one wants to hear about me and my struggles but it is what it is if you read my blog. I also reminded myself that just because 31 days past since I set a goal doesn't mean that I give up on it. I can start over as many times as I need to until I have reached my desired result. I think about how if Heavenly Father gave up on us after 31 days of not doing the things we are supposed to be doing then I would be screwed. I'm so thankful he is a kind, loving and forgiving Father who gives us many opportunities to continue to work toward doing everything right. I think as long as I continue to move forward and not backwards I'm doing alright. I have since February started been more aware of the things I'm doing during the day to stay focused on my goals. The other day I had the BEST day and I felt like I did everything right as a mother that day. I payed attention the the kids more, we played more, I cooked, we cleaned, we built a fort, we read books and scriptures and said our prayers. I felt like SUPER MOM! I'm glad I have days like that to keep me going and no feel like momzilla with crazy kids! I put it like this "today I was the mom I want to be, I want more days like today"
I took Emma to the Dr on the 1st and she is now 12 pounds and growing! She likes to think she is older than she really is. This 2 month old is trying to sit up! The picture below is her sitting with very little support from me. I think she just knows she has 2 older siblings she's got to keep up with. I know everyone says "they grow up so fast" but then when she does things "earlier than normal" It really feels like time is going too fast. Slow Down baby girl!

The kids have found my Harry Potter books and love to pull them all out. Since they've watched the first 3 movies I though they might enjoy me reading the books to them. Surprisingly enough they both sat through the fist chapter of book one, but they both like to pull out the books and read themselves!
So I have to admit that I am not the early morning riser like I used to be and have been known on occasion to daily hand over my phone to Dallin to keep him occupied while I catch a few more winks of sleep before I actually have to get up in the morning. Tonight I was going through the pictures and videos on my phone and came across this lovely of Dallin singing. He probably chose this song because it's the only one I ever make him sing on camera! Makes me laugh!
So this week I plan to stay focused on the things that are really important and being the mom I want to be everyday. And somehow by putting this out there for everyone to see means I have to do it right ?!
January: a month in Review!
My new goal is to blog at least once a month just to keep up one what we've been doing!
On New years eve my dad and Kanchana came to visit! we had a good time just hanging out and spending time together. Kanchana gave me and Dallin hair cuts and did a great job. We did a lot of eating, we must be related because we both all love food! Besides eating we made a few trips to home depot to help us get ready for the next week.
Along with going out to eat, Kanchana made us some AWESOME Thai food! I wish I would have gone to my grandmas house that day to learn how to make all this. So Yummy!
On top of that my Dad taught me how to make these! I've needed to learn self control since then!
The week after my dad left, Dave's Dad and brother came to town to drill holes in my ceiling!

All the while my semi finished basement became a construction zone. It looks bad now but it's going to be amazing when its done.

While Dave's Family was here we blessed Emma. I warned the bishop we were going to have a few extra people at church that day. I didn't realize those few would turn into 32! She was blessed by her dad and there were 13 Priesthood holders in her blessing circle. Thank you to everyone who came to share that special day with us.
Emma decided to give us her first smiles this month!
I taught Dallin how to play monopoly. I think he only likes it because it says FedEx on it. None the less he asks to play it almost every day now.
I straightened Sarah's hair and it is SOOO Long and so Pretty! I don't really like guns but Dave might have to buy one for when she starts dating. Sarah has really become a great helper and has calmed down her evil tendencies (a little) and has taken on the roll of big sister quite well.
Dallin started speech school this month to help him work on saying his letter sounds correctly. He goes to class for one hour a week every monday and the rest is "homework" which is a little hit and miss because he doesn't like me helping him. And since he didn't have a hard enough time with his "S" sounds he lost his first tooth! Poor kid we kept telling him to put his teeth together and say "sssss" and he just says, I can't with a loose tooth.
We also had parent teacher conference for Dallin at school and he is doing very well. Everyone loves him and it seems he has picked up Dave's quick wit and humor. His teacher told me one day he was asked to do some writing and he replied "you're killing me, just killing me" I need to write down more of the things he says because they are hilarious.
Random:
We all really like to watch Phineas and Ferb. If you know the show you'll know what I'm talking about if not then just skip this part! At any given point during the day you can hear Dallin and Sarah quoting the show. Recently there was an episode where they all were back in time living like cavemen and speaking, rather grunting like cavemen. Sarah acted out a scene from this episode while we were at walmart. saying "eh, bleh, eh, bleh, Eh.... Bleh..... EH... BLEH" It was quite funny once I realize what she was doing. Watch the following clip to know what I'm talking about!

As far as the blogging world goes I am not the best. Think about it, I posted in November-ish and then in December-ish and completely skipped the fact that I gave birth to a wonderful little girl! All these people who find time and motivation to blog about every aspect of their lives I give you kudos. Now on to this adorable baby of mine. Here are some highlights from her birth! Emma Renee Johnson was born on November 26th at 10:30ish in the morning. She weighed 8lbs and 5oz I guessed 8lbs 6oz so I was pretty close and she was 20.5 inches long. Her birth was a completely planned c-section and it went amazingly well. I was mentally prepared and I had a ton of things at home prepared. I made freezer meals, I stocked up on diapers (except for newborn size, who knows why?) I had a bag for the hospital with the things I knew I wanted and things that I knew I would need. The worst part about the whole day was my IV. I had to be stuck 3 times and it still hurt after it was in. I felt really great after she was born. Over all a great experience!
