vacation sweet vacation

We had a blast on vacation to Indiana! I have to admit that I forgot to take my camera to most of the places we went, which kinda sucked! We stayed pretty busy visiting old friends and spending time with family. 

Here is us on the plane trip out there, Dave's 2 aunts were with us! LIFESAVERS! we weren't so lucky on the way home thank goodness for dollar store toys and DVD players. Our flight crew and some folks around us were no help at all!

   

Playing with some new toys at Jenny's House. Auntie Sharon thought Sarah looked just like this doll so she had to buy it!

 

Here is our attempt at some family photos even though half of us were missing from most of them. Sarah was asleep and who knows where everyone else was?

      

This is the wreckage that happened daily when all the cousins got together! Erin could not keep her cloths on for very long before she had to change into a new dress.

 

After receiving some of Joey's old cloths to use for Sarah, Joey had to put on a fashion show! These cloths are 30 years old, yet so cute, love them.

  

Like I said, I forgot to take my camera most of the time! oops! We had a lot of fun going to our old play group in Plainfield it was lots of fun to see everyone.

Aunt Julie was HILARIOUS! 

We ate at Steak n' Shake a ton, So yummy, wonder why Utah doesn't have one yet.

We went to the park and Dallin went on the biggest slide all by himself! And he played at McDonalds on the play place pretty much by himself. I'm so proud of my little boy!

We visited our cousins house and played in the kiddie pool. Too bad that day Dallin's eyes were really bad (more on this later)

Now we're home back to real life.

Race for the Cure

This is way late... oh well! Saturday we walked the race for the cure. We walk for my Aunt and My Grandma who is now in remission! Hooray! So for the event I made Sarah an entire outfit! Super cute if I do say so myself! I made the pants from an actual pattern and they turned out great.

Super fun time except we didn't walk the whole way, we cut down a side street! we figure it doesn't really matter we still donated the money! 

outside..?

Dallin wanted to go BACK outside on tuesday after we had played most of the afternoon out there. He learned how to turn on the hose and got himself all wet, cried about it the whole time, but kept doing it! I was planting some of my garden (more on this later) during the chaos! fun stuff! So this pic sums up our afternoon... Dallin crying on the floor by the door (locked so he can't get out) Poor kid! Can't wait to get our fence up so I can just "let him loose"!

The Birds!

I really felt like I was in an Alfred Hitchcock movie a while back when I could hear birds REALLY lout outside our door! turns out this one I caught a pic of was trying to make a nest on/in our porch light. (not a good place by the way) He came so close to the door thats how I got his pic. Dallin thought it was really cool!

 Then the video below isn't so much for the video as it is for the sound. I felt like I was in a scary movie with all the birds around, and nothing else! Kinda freaky! Crazy birds! At least I know spring is here!

                                          

Baby Legs

You know the really Cute baby "leg warmers" they sell at baby stores. They are $11.99 and thats at Kid to Kid (the second hand kids store)

OK FORGET THAT!!! So I made some! went to the thrift store, bought 2 pairs of toe socks, for 49 cents and 69 cents. I made my own!

Cut off the toes. Sew a simple stitch.

Put them on your baby!

Ta Da! an instant savings of over $10 bucks! I love thrift town our local thrift store, much better than the DI, if I do say so myself, better selection, better prices. Its more like goodwill with half price color days! Gotta love it!

I found really good couch pillows too!
