Disneyland!

To prove we went to Disneyland I'm actually going to blog about it! HA! I'm only 3 months late!

To sum it up we had the best time ever! To this day Dallin and Sarah still talk about the haunted mansion or Pirates! We stayed for 4 days and that was a perfect amount of time for the kid in me to have so much fun. Dave had never been and it's been years and years since I had been so it was a new experience for us all. Our first day it rained so I felt like we got cheated a little bit but again that was the excited kid in me being upset! We enjoyed our trip with Dave's parents, his sister Jenny and his aunt Sharon. It was hard at first to have so many people to keep track of but we soon figured it all out. Here are some highlights in photo form!

Funny thing was Sarah was asleep when we saw mickey and Dallin was asleep when we saw minnie! It all worked out!

On one of the nights we went to dinner at Goofy's Kitchen. Where you get to meet with characters while you eat. This was one of the most fun nights we all had together and may be tradition to go back there when we go to Disneyland again. Donald met his biggest fan in the world and I don't know who enjoyed it more Donald or Jenny!

(Day 4)

The smile on their faces were the same on day one and they were on day 4! It brought me to tears at one point to see my kids having so much fun. Especially when we were watching the world of color and Sarah was lighting up like the 4th of July every time she saw something she recognized! And when Dallin went on Soarin' over California the excitement on Dallin's face the feeling of flying! We are already thinking about when we want to go back! Just ask either one of my kids about Disneyland and you'll get an ear full!

Family Fun!

A few saturdays ago we went to a place called Hollywood connection. We really went because they had an indoor mini golf course and it was rainy and cold. It turns out they have so much more there to enjoy, some kiddie rides including a roller coaster and roller skating! Dave and I were way more excited about the roller skating that the kids were. They put the skates on and held on to our hands for dear life! Dave was having a really good time skating around the rink. We might go back there for a date night, who knows!

The other favorite was the roller coaster and the carousel. There was an arcade upstairs but it was a little much to take in, and we didn't want to spend quarters on it! Overall the price was a little high and I don't know how often we will go there but for a rainy/snowy afternoon it worked out great for us. We also ate some dinner there and it started out promising when we ordered wings and they were delicious but dinner was a let down. I guess you can't win them all! It was a great afternoon of fun with the family!

Dallin is 4!!!

One Day I went to the Hospital and had a baby boy. His name is Dallin. He was a cute little bug wrapped up in a neat little package.

Then I blinked and this is what I had, a 1 year old.

Then I blinked again and he was 2.

I tried to stop but I blinked again and he was 3.

After having tried to stop blinking and I could no longer do it and BAM he turned 4! He's not so little any more!

Sunday we had a family party and My awesome sister Laura mad this awesome cake! It's a rainbow inside. Click HERE for an inside look at this cake. (she'll post pics sometime)

Then there's my awesome culinary skills!

One of the kids at the party today said, "these are the best cupcakes! Can I have another one?!" LOL and yes there was 6 little boys at my house today, and I survived!

Dallin wanted Chinese chicken for Lunch so thats where we went! Dave wouldn't smile for the camera so I left his pictures out!

what we've been upto... and a little nagging!

I've been trying really hard lately to make rolls and bread and I've had some success and some failure. My most recent success is owed to my mother in law, and a little nagging suggestion from Dave to call his mom! Whatever the reason it is DELICIOUS!

We went swimming with Tiffany! So much fun. Sarah was really into herself with her goggles. Who wouldn't be if they were that cute! I forgot to take picture at the swim pool because we were having too much fun!

We've been hanging out with cousins!

And we went to the zoo one morning and this Tiger must have been hungry because he was looking at all the kids like breakfast. He had a lot to say about it as well!

This Cat wasn't so happy to see us either!

I'm glad the weather has been nice enough to go out. Except for this storm that decided to dump a foot of snow and then melt the next day and be wonderful again!

We are planning for Dallin's birthday party coming up next week! This will be his first birthday party with friends. I hope I survive! Stay tuned.

Carrot soup.... it's what's for dinner.

Carrot soup

1 lb ground beef (browned and drained)

cook with chopped onion, I used dried onion, as much as what looks good

2 cans, cream of celery soup

2 cups of tomato juice, or one soda can size, or 3 of the little cans Its not really exact. I've used all 3 measurements before and it turns out the same.

2 T brown sugar

1 lb of carrots peeled and grated (easiest way is to buy a small bag of baby carrots and run them through a salad shooter)

1/4 tsp garlic salt

salt & pepper to taste

mix it all in your soup pot and simmer until the carrots are tender (about 20 mins)
